Competitions, clinics, concerts and more, the 51st annual Eau Claire Jazz Festival is sure to take the city by storm from April 21 – 22! The festival kicks off on Friday, April 21 with student competitions happening across the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus. Guest artist headliner concerts, the 52nd Street celebration and many other performances and festivities will be following the competition to ensure a jazz-filled weekend for all festivalgoers. Guest artists Doc Severinsen and Carl Allen will be playing alongside the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Jazz Ensemble I at the State Theatre during both nights of the festival.

Greg Moore

Dr. Moore is a Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he serves as Jazz Program Director. He is active as a performer, composer and scholar. He has premiered four new commissions for jazz ensemble since 2006, as well as works for orchestra, woodwind choir, symphonic band, percussion ensemble and chamber trio. His compositions Sway and Music for Four Saxophones and Percussion were performed at the prestigious 2003 World Saxophone Congress. His jazz solo work is featured on recordings by the University of Texas Jazz Orchestra and the Big Time Jazz Orchestra. His compositions for jazz ensemble are published by Increase Music, Inc.
